The prize is awarded annually for outstanding bachelor and/or master theses.
It is disigned to encourage students to accomplish extraordinary achievements and to reward excellent R&D results.
The prize winner(s) receive a certificate and a monetary award (€ 500 for an honoured bachelor thesis and € 1000 for an honoured master thesis) and are invited to present their work on the occasion of the Optence networking day.

Nomination is possible for any bachelor or master thesis coming from a natural or engineering science course of study in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia or Bavaria. Any professor who supervises such final papers is entitled to make nominations.
