The Leibniz-IPHT is a university independent research institute with close connection to the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and member of the Leibniz association.

The Leibniz Institute of Photonics Technology (IPHT) offers the following position (100%) in the Research Department Ultrafast fibre lasers starting September 1st 2019:

Marie Curie Research Fellow MSCA-COFUND-MULTIPLY (f/m/d)

The position is limited to 2 years.

Ihr Aufgabengebiet:

The MULTIPLY Marie S.-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme has aim of assisting the career development of next generation of photonics research and innovation leaders. Leibniz-IPHT welcomes proposals in the area of fibre laser technology, ultrashort pulse generation and applications. More information: https://multiply.astonphotonics.uk/  

Ihr Profil:

PhD (or equivalent) in Optical Engineering / Electrical engineering / Laser Physics / Applied Physics / Engineering Physics or similar.  

Your knowledge and skills:

Solid experience in fibre laser development and ultrafast laser systems (mode-locked lasers, fiber laser frequency combs, pulse characterisation techniques, etc.). Desired knowledge of standard computational techniques in nonlinear optics in Matlab or Phyton.

Applicant will be provided with a standard document detailing the infrastructure from the Host Organisation, to be used by the Applicants to develop their proposals.
Selection will be via a formal procedure undertaken by an independent Evaluation an Selection Committee.
